What is this blog?

My name is Kira and I am 24. I first started this blog so I could write about my golden retriever, Murphy, and the adventures that we have together.

Then on May 5th, 2010 I broke my neck and came terrifyingly close to becoming paralyzed. To quote every friend, nurse, doctor, and my neurosurgeon: I am incredibly lucky. And to say that it was a life-changing experience would be an understatement.

So now this blog is about me, my dog Murphy, my recovery, and everything that I am learning in the process. Click here to read more about me.
